VISI Picks of the Week Series – Week 248

Picks of the Week

COMPILED BY VISI

From a cool collab between Polaroid and PUMA and a sleek new cocktail station to Le Creuset’s new Maplewood range and a local UV art installation, these are the top VISI picks of the week series – week 248.

1. Cocktail Station by mecanismo

“Madrid-based architectural studio mecanismo is behind the design of a slick new cocktail station located at San Sebastián’s AKELARRE Hotel,” says Online Editor Lindi Brownell Meiring. “The design was inspired by the fuselage of an aeroplane.”

2. Artfully Intelligent

“Artist Miranda Moss combines ecology, art and technology in her immersive installation The Timid Wilderness, comprised of a luminescent jungle of ‘shy’ flowers,” says Editorial Intern Lilly Quin. “This installation questions how we communicate with our natural surroundings and takes inspiration from the way in which pollinating insects are able to detect patterns that are only visible in the UV spectrum. The AI was developed by Martin Wilson.”
