Winners: World Architecture Festival 2019

The winners of the 2019 World Architecture Festival have been announced, including World Building of the Year.

This year, the overall award went to a renovated locomotive shed, namely the LocHal Public Library in Tilburg in The Netherlands, designed by Civic Architects (lead), Braaksma & Roos Architectenbureau, Inside Outside/Petra Blaisse and Mecanoo. The 11 200 m² space is home to not only public libraries and co-working spaces, but a city hall made for events and exhibitions.

Here, in no particular order, are the winner’s from the 2019 Completed Buildings category.
