Talk on Cape Dutch Architecture

The La Motte Museum is hosting a talk about Cape Dutch architecture by Dr Matilda Burden on Thursday evening.

With four provincial monuments (formerly known as national monuments), La Motte is the ideal place to host a talk on Cape Dutch Architecture. The acclaimed expert on South African culture and history, Dr Matilda Burden will discuss the relevance of Cape Dutch Architecture in today’s world with reference to “kalkbrandery” along the West Coast and its relevance for Cape Architecture.

The event starts at 6:30pm for 7pm on Thursday 13 September at the La Motte Museum, La Motte Wine Estate, R45, Franschhoek Valley.

Pierneef à La Motte are creating a special Cape Winelands Cuisine menu for the talks. For R170, enjoy a meal, glass of wine and the talk. Otherwise, entry to the talk alone is R50.
