Remo’s Libertà on Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton, Johannesburg boasts an authentic Italian menu and a distinctive themed setting that celebrates Nelson Mandela.
The concept behind the restaurant’s design is to emphasise Madiba’s inspiring impact on South Africa.
The walls are adorned with black and white photographs of the former president, as well as a giant painting of the freedom fighter.
Decor focuses on browns, creams, leather, exposed brickwork and raw finishes with a large marble bar being one of the main focal points of the space.
Remo’s Libertà is open Monday to Sunday from 7:30am until 11:30am for breakfast and from 11:30am until 5pm for lunch. Dinner is served from 5pm until 11pm Monday to Saturday.
