La Pitchoune (meaning “little thing”) is the former home of famed American chef and author of Mastering The Art of French Cooking, Julia Child and her husband Paul.

This charming little cottage, situated just outside the town of Grasse on the French Riviera, is now available to rent via Airbnb.

The property, which is only available to rent when the space is not being used as a cooking school, features three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and of course, the renowned and idyllic kitchen where Julia whipped up numerous feasts. An exact replica of the kitchen is on show at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.

There is also a beautiful garden, complete with a 16ft canvas tent perfect for a spot of yoga.

It will set you back approximately R9 300 per night and there’s a five-night minimum stay. Sound like something worth saving for? Here’s the listing where you can book.
