Nobu Hotel & Restaurant in Manila

Designed by award-winning New York-based architecture and design firm, Rockwell Group, the new Nobu Hotel is only the second of its kind to open worldwide.

Situated in the urban resort of City Of Dreams in Manila Bay in the Philippines, this 321-room hotel includes the exquisite 335-seater Nobu restaurant.

With a focus on iconic Japanese chef Nobu’s “truth-to-materials” aesthetic, the decor across both spaces showcases a combination of neutral tones, with subtle purple and green highlights.

The zen-like restaurant space is shared between a bar, lounge, dining room, sushi bar and two private dining areas, as well as an outdoor terrace. The decor makes use of a range of natural materials, including granite, wood, cerused oak and white onyx marble.

The lobby welcomes guests with an ornate bento box-inspired brass chandelier, wood collage feature wall and patchwork sofas. The hotel’s rooms focus on the idea of rejuvenation. Each room features sand-painting effect carpets (also seen in the lobby) and bespoke lighting. Knotty pine bedside tables and live-edge wood coffee tables were custom-designed by Rockwell Group.
