1. Bordallo Pinheiro Ceramics Now in SA
Founded in 1884, the Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics collection brings playfulness and creativity to tabletops and dinner settings. Better yet, it’s now available in South Africa. The Portuguese brand, which will open a new shop on Bree Street in Cape Town in November, is available online at bordallopinheiro.co.za and at its Granger Bay showroom, by appointment only.

2. Eva’s Circular Tattoos
Brooklyn- and Los Angeles-based Turkish tattoo artist Havva Karabudak (also known as Eva) creates delicate tattoos inspired by famous artists and illustrations. She also uses circles to highlight the pieces.

3. New: Stellski Coffee Bar
Stellski Coffee Bar, a 20 m² coffee spot designed by Cara Siegers of Dot Design, recently opened its doors at 59 Loop Street in Cape Town’s CBD. Featuring a pink and red colour palette, the bar itself was inspired by owner Megan Kritzinger’s dog, Stella – there is even a mural of her on one of the walls.

4. Diesel D4D Concept Store
DIESEL has launched its new D4D flagship store in Johannesburg’s Fourways Mall, a first of its kind for the brand. The shop features an innovative design, where railings and shelving can be moved around to suit the collections, making possibilities for display versatile and creative.

5. proto~ at the A4 Arts Foundation
A new concept store and interactive space is now open at A4 Arts Foundation in Cape Town, headed up by Creative Director Hamzeh Alfarahneh. proto~ is a space that invites collaboration, with products and art for sale, as well as a curated library and sustainable products offering. The studio is also used for workshops and lunches, encouraging community interactions and networking.
