On the outskirts of Madrid, Spain a 90-year-old man spends his days the same way he has spent his last 53 years – building a monumentally beautiful cathedral almost entirely by hand.
Fully equipped with a dome, parish hall, crypt and baptistery, his relentless labour is powered only by the little money he has from selling his home and his unwavering faith. Although he knows he will not complete it in his lifetime, Justo Gallego’s only wish is to be buried in the crypt beneath it when he passes.
