Yui and Takaharu Tezuka, an architectural husband-and-wife duo from Japan, took director Yutaka Obara through their family home in Tokyo.

Built 14 years ago, the original idea for the house was for it to feel like one large, open space. It was important for Yui and Takaharu to design a home that adapted to lifestyle changes and remained functional for day-to-day family living. “This is a place to raise children,” says Takaharu in the video. “It’s a nest, not a design.”

In this clip, the duo takes you through the interior architectural changes the family has made over the last 10 years, including updating one bedroom into three divided spaces.
