Filmmaker Max Hemmings directed and produced this short film for NOWNESS of artist and designer Mattia Bonetti’s house in Lago di Lugano in Switzerland that sits on the water’s edge.
Mattia’s home reflects his passion, past and personality. Evident in his selection of art, decor and furniture pieces, he enjoys a sense of organic originality that comes with adding your own personal touch.
“There [is] a mixture of antique furniture that I inherited from my parents because they were antique dealers. I also introduced some pieces that I produced for my galleries,” shared Mattia. “Unfortunately, I think there is a big uniformity all over the world that makes everything very similar and very ‘un-personal’ with very little imagination, I think. I guess it resembles me, this house somehow. I can dream.”
