Local sustainable candle brand Rekindle has created limited edition scented candles in smooth white and brushed black ceramics, exclusively for VISI.
This limited edition scent is inspired by the Tsitsikamma – where sunlight and the mist are trapped between the earth and the ancient green canopies that shade the forest floor in dappled light.
The candles are hand-poured with mineral wax from Durban, a bi-product that would otherwise become waste, now becomes candles. The ceramic vessels are handmade in the Cape, using locally sourced clay. Rekindle uses cotton wicks and natural essential oils for fragrance to lower carbon emissions. The brand’s suppliers are mainly comprise of local female owned small businesses.
The collab is available in two sizes – medium (single wick) and large (three wick). Each candle is delicately scented with notes of Rosewood, Eucalyptus and Patchouli.
