The new Tom Dixon Super Texture collection is a rich and luxurious range that sees the design studio’s debut into the world of sewing, weaving and embellishment.
Moving away from the shiny metallics the brand is so well known for, this collection is made up of six varying textures, namely Soft, Deco, Boucle, Fleck, Check, and Line.
The cushions and throws have the potential to be layered, stacked and reorganised to suit your space. While the Boucle range is made of hand-spun and hand-woven yarn from the Rajastan mountain region and wool sourced from New Zealand, the Deco cushions are woven in The Netherlands and made from South African Angora goat hair.
The Check range has been inspired by checkerboards of fabric samplers and catalogues of woven threads, resulting in a comfortable and familiar texture reminiscent of English picnics. The delicately soft Fleck range, which has its origins in the archives of a tweed mill in Scotland, is made using soft lamb wool.
The Line range is a tribute to London’s industrial production with the use of graphic lines, block colours and alternating patterns inspired by Op Art, while the Soft Collection cushions and phone pouches are made from plush mohair velvet.
