The Norval Foundation is a brand-new centre for art set to open in Cape Town on 28 April 2018.
Headed up by director Elana Brundyn, the space, which has been designed by dhk, will serve as a platform for cultural expression and music, as well as a research and exhibition hub for both 20th and 21st century art.
Making art widely available to both international and local visitors is a focal point for the centre.
Located in Steenberg in Cape Town, the Foundation will showcase a sculpture garden, outdoor amphitheatre, exhibition spaces, a research library, a shop, playground and the Skotnes Restaurant and Bar, named after renowned South African artist Cecil Skotnes.
Headed up by Executive Chef, Phil de Villiers, the restaurant will blend in seamlessly with its natural surroundings, while simultaneously celebrating South African cuisine.
The Norval Foundation will be located at 1 Ou Kaapse Road, C/O Steenberg Road (opposite US Embassy), Tokai, Cape Town. For more information, visit norvalfoundation.org.
