Picks Of The Week

From the latest SuzelleDIY clip to a book that judges you, here are the team’s top picks of the week.

1. Frankie by Färg & Blanche for Johanson

Online editor Lindi Brownell Meiring loves all things quirky, so when she spotted Färg & Blanche’s latest design (the back is meant to look like trouser braces), she couldn’t resist sharing. “So clever!”

2. Chanel Flower Ideas

“This gorgeous mechanised floral set design at the Chanel couture show in Paris a couple of weeks ago was as much of a highlight as the sparkly clothes, which for me says a lot!” laughs special projects manager, Cecilia du Plessis. “Apparently it took an impressive six months to make the 300 flowers that decorated the set.”

4. The Cover That Judges You

Features editor Tracy Greenwood found this concept, designed by Amsterdam-based studio, Moore, both fascinating and vaguely disturbing at the same time.

5. Upcycled Ceramics by Lucy Stuart Clarke

Freelance content producer Michaela Stehr thinks this is a clever way to use flawed (although still beautiful) espresso cups and saucers.
