1. RIBA House of the Year
 
This cottage in the Scottish Highlands, designed by Hayson Ward Millar Architects, has taken this year’s prize for RIBA House of the Year,” says Online Editor Lindi Brownell Meiring. “The off-grid home was crafted using natural materials and looks like the perfect spot for a wintry escape.”

2. Louise Jones’s Floral Buildings

Artist Louise Jones, known as Ouizi, adorns buildings with bright and bold floral murals,” says Managing Editor Samantha Charles. “She has completed over 40 murals in her hometown of Detroit, with other pieces in Los Angeles, Shanghai, New Zealand and New York.”

3. Evan Fay’s Lawless Chair

“Evan Fay of Aratani Design Studio is known for this creative chair, made up of interwoven blue foam ribbons,” says Art Director Lené Roux. “Each foam strip is covered in Neoprene (also known as scuba fabric), which ensures a level of comfort.”

4. Virgin Mary Spiced Tomato Juice

“Cure Deli has released a new range of carefully crafted tomato cocktail,” says Content Producer Michaela Stehr. “Add some vodka or gin for a little kick or just drink straight for a sugar-free vitamin boost! I also like the simple design of the bottle.”

“Spanish artist Julio Anaya Cabanding recreates paintings by some of the greats in abandoned buildings,” says Editor-in-Chief Sumien Brink. “The detailed artworks are perfectly juxtaposed against their gritty surroundings.”
