Local online store Coal Interiors, who describe themselves as “the simple homeware company,” stock minimalist furniture and accessories at affordable prices.

Coal Interiors began when two homeowners were looking to furnish their first home. They started by designing a flatpack bench, which soon grew into starting their own brand.

“Both coming from design backgrounds, you could say we were underwhelmed with what was available, within budget (and taste),” they explain on their website. “While scouring many hundred Pinterest pages, we came across a simple flatpack bench and without hesitating we had our books out, designing our very own version. So before we even knew it, Coal was born and has been our love child ever since.”

The brand only uses local manufacturers and prides themselves on being as eco-friendly as possible when it comes to materials and packaging.
