This clever self-sustainable smart house, previously featured here, is entirely powered by wind and solar energy.

Designed by Slovak company Ecocapsule, this mobile micro-home makes living off the grid in comfort a breeze. “It does not need to be plugged into the traditional power and water supply, as it is self-sustaining and can generate both resources from the surrounding environment,” explains the team on the Ecocapsule website.

The installed solar power is 600 Watts and the low noise wind turbine gives you 750W, 24 hours a day. Rainwater is cleverly collected on the surface and is stored in a water tank, where it is filtered for use. The pod will comfortably accommodate two people.

Only 50 will be produced this year.
