Cape Town’s award-winning Metropolis studio has created a contemporary garden pavilion on the grounds of a luxury Constantia home.
The pavilion, which was created as an outdoor entertainment area, is constructed from large concrete slabs. The space includes a dining area, work surfaces, a fire pit, a kitchen and a concealed toilet and outdoor shower.
Metropolis, who like to draw inspiration from natural landscapes, told Dezeen, “The building is intended to be of nature: to contain a distillation of landscape which then allows it to be naturally contained by its surroundings.”
