Cool Spaces: Student Apartment In Kiev

Step inside this stylishly suave student apartment, dressed in monochromatic shadows and flecks of dancing yellows, by Ukraine-based design firm YØ DEZEEN.

Well-known for their simplistic style, YØ DEZEEN dressed this student space in a monochromatic palette, broken only by the subtle textures of wood grain seen on the walls, a pop of colour from the whimsically bright yellow dining chairs and the soft glows emitted by strategically placed light fixtures.

The harmonic balance of large black tiles, white tiles and wooden accents seen on the floors offset the uniformed shades of grey found everywhere else. The bathroom sees a welcoming touch of texture with a collage of small white tiles and silver finishes, while the ambient lighting features create a warm atmosphere for otherwise dark surroundings. The kitchen cleverly mirrors the shelving seen in the lounge area, which appropriately boasts an artwork of a monochromatic city skyline.
