Local wood workshop Ark celebrates – and aims to preserve – craftsmanship, honouring its natural material, reclaimed wood, to emphasise nature’s perfection.

The Ark Workshop, located on the Welgeleë Farm in Wolseley, creates handmade wooden products from reclaimed oak and Oregon pine, as well as solid oak, kiaat and poplar, each piece one of a kind.

The wood is hand picked from the floors of century old barns and buildings sourced throughout South Africa, so each piece is unique. Minimalist designs reveal the natural beauty and distinct character of the wood grain.
