Cool Spaces: Sonny and Irene

Sonny and Irene, a new spot inspired by the rich history and architectural design of the seaside suburb of Sea Point has opened its doors, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails and baked goods.

Part of the Kove Collection, Sonny and Irene give a nostalgic nod to the past, reimagined in a contemporary way. Drawing inspiration from the Art Deco movement that was so prominent in Sea Point, the decor pops with pink pastel tones accented with classic marble finishes. Touches of oak pull the space together and add an element of warmth to the inviting restaurant.

The everyday bistro-style restaurant offers favourites from eggs benedict and scrambles to steaks, salads and mussels. The bespoke cocktail menu and carefully curated wine list ensure guests can pair their meals with something special. The restaurant also boasts its own bakery, run by Pastry Chef Chris Morrison as well as a statement cocktail bar with carefully crafted cocktails by local Mixologist Marshall Behaein that serves as the perfect spot for an after-work drink.
