London-based architect, photographer and digital artist James Whitaker, of architecture firm Whitaker Studio, has designed a striking new home that’s got the Internet talking.
Known as The Joshua Tree Residence, this unusual 200m2 home, which was designed for a film producer, is made up of a series of shipping containers joined together at juxtaposing angles, creating a facade reminiscent of something akin to a sea urchin.
The solar-powered home, which is scheduled to be built on the 90-acre Californian plot in 2018, features three en-suite bedrooms, a living area, kitchen and large outdoor deck area with a swimming pool.
