The new Australian iiNet contact centre in Cape Town is an office space with a difference.

Designed and developed by dhk for Merchants SA, the office is located across three floors in the iconic Rex Trueform building in Salt River.

While most are accustomed to drab boardrooms, this colourful open plan office is comprised of a number of creative meeting spots, including a mini cricket stadium and a surfing hangout (complete with actual sand).

Says dhk interiors design director, Guido Tagge, “The design aesthetic is creative and fresh, and references the factory setting using vintage furniture and retro typography, with a palette of vibrant colours that appeal to the predominantly young workforce.”
