If you’re in Durban and enjoy local architecture, don’t miss the opening of the Architecture Fabrik Exhibition at Freedom Café this evening.
The exhibition celebrates the young Durban-based firm which has worked locally and in Cape Town, Melbourne, Brisbane and the UK. The two partners of the firm – Martin Kluger and Chantal Pierce – have worked as Fabrik since 2009 and have 10 years of prior experience in the field.
Join them at the Freedom Café (which they designed) at 5 for 5.30pm to revel in an exhibition of their work, varying from kiosks to an industrial warehouse. Snacks by legendary Durban restauranteur Neil Roake will be on offer and gift packs by sponsor Shave Paints will be handed out to attendees who reserve one.
For those who cannot make the opening, the exhibition will remain on show for a week at the Freedom Café and will then be moved to KZNIA at 160 Bulwer Road, Glenwood.
Freedom Café is located at 37 St Mary’s Avenue, with parking available in front of the old Bean Bag Bohemia.
