The design behind the 400 square metre Zuo Dun Dao Tea Restaurant in China’s Yunnan province takes inspiration from traditional Chinese bamboo weaving and Western structures.

According to Liu Haowai of CAA Architects, the creative director behind the project, it’s a combination of Eastern nostalgia and post-modernism.

We think it’s breathtaking.
