The tropical trend has hit our stores like a tsunami. On the catwalk, exotic birds peep through delicious green leaves and flowers in rich jewel-like colours are bringing an island-style to our living spaces. “Combine leafy grass green plants with full-colour animal motifs, not to mention positioning a perky parrot on your sideboard. The bigger and more exotic, the better,” says stylist Marian van Wyk.
