A Feast for the Senses

The Luxurious Marble Circus offers more than just a performance – it invites guests to become part of a grand spectacle.

At the heart of any extraordinary event is the seamless integration of atmosphere, design, and participation. We spoke with Greg Walsh from G&G Productions and renowned local chef David Higgs to learn more about what attendees can expect at The Luxurious Marble Circus.

A Stage Set for Magic

The stage for The Luxurious Marble Circus, a towering 36-metre-wide and 12-metre-high structure designed by G&G Productions, Kilowatt AV, and GRID Worldwide, embodies months of meticulous planning. “Built from a Layher scaffolding frame and clad with a mix of printed materials and a duo-coated wooden set, it features a grand stairway, 10 aerial winch points for performances, a Juliette balcony for our Golden Ticket holders, and much more,” says Greg. This custom-built masterpiece will be brought to life by 3D-mapped laser projections, synchronised with a cast of 138 musicians, aerial artists, actors, and performers, all choreographed to lighting and pyrotechnics.

But it’s not just the stage that will transport guests into another world. Every inch of the venue has been given the same level of care and attention. From the Grand Dining Room, inspired by Marble and designed by the renowned Anne Mann, to the indulgently designed Royal Lounge, inspired by Saint, every area creates a unique environment. The Fantastical Forest and its glorious Speakeasy, the Uncaged Carousel, and the Vista Veranda are just a few of the extraordinary spaces that will contribute to the immersive experience. “There are 14 unique spaces to discover, each with bars, individual designs, and varied seating arrangements from lounge to café, beach, and garden,” Greg explains.

Culinary Delights from Renowned Chefs

Food will be central to The Luxurious Marble Circus experience, with chefs Reuben Riffel, J’Something and David Higgs curating exceptional menus for the Grand Dining Room and Royal Lounge. These spaces aren’t just dining areas; they are luxe, custom-designed restaurants, with the Grand Dining Room offering commanding views of the stage.

The dining experience will feature a multi-course feast served at your table, with each dish presented as a work of art.

So, what can diners expect from a Reuben Riffel and David Higgs course at the Grand Dining Room? Think “plates of gorgeous burrata with crispy pancetta and a mix of salted heritage tomatoes, followed by dazzling tempura prawns alongside flame-kissed greens and radiant parmesan. Then, the show-stopping scallop,” says Greg. In the Royal Lounge, J’Something will collaborate with David to deliver an equally exquisite menu. “To support the chefs, we’re building an 800-square-metre kitchen with over 100 staff working around the clock to deliver these delectable menus,” he adds.

Experiential Design

The design of each dining area is not merely functional – it is integral to the immersive experience. The Grand Dining Room and Royal Lounge, housed in majestic marquees, offer luxurious indoor settings, while the Playground in the Field takes guests on a mixed indoor-outdoor journey.

The visual identity of the Marble Group is woven into the fabric of The Luxurious Marble Circus. “The Grand Dining Room is bathed in royal blue, reflecting Marble’s signature look, while the Royal Lounge features shades of orange, inspired by Saint’s more relaxed, indulgent atmosphere,” Greg explains. Each space reflects its culinary and visual identity, creating a cohesive and visually stunning environment. “Playground in the Field is inspired by Pantry, with shades of pink, purple, and green. The Uncaged Carousel, on the other hand, draws inspiration from Zioux,” he continues.

A Communal Celebration of Food

The Playground in the Field will bring people together in a communal, social setting. With several food stalls offering a variety of cuisines – from Asian delicacies to smoked ribs – the atmosphere will evoke the feel of a bustling café. “It’s a place for mingling, chatting, and reconnecting with familiar faces over gourmet dishes that go far beyond typical festival fare,” says David.

Beyond the beauty of the dishes, the overall atmosphere of the dining spaces makes the experience truly unforgettable. “I don’t want to give too much away, but imagine something with the whimsy of a circus, the charm of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and the wonder of Alice in Wonderland. It’s playful and fun, without taking itself too seriously,” David adds.

Find The Golden Ticket

40 Golden Tickets are up for grabs, hidden in select Pantry chocolate bars available at Pantry in Rosebank. Along with Playground in the Field tickets, Golden Ticket holders will enjoy backstage access which grants holders access to a lavish lounge with curated eats, a private Juliette balcony built into the grand stage, and complimentary Moët & Chandon while taking in the magic from the best seat in the house.
