
The 50th edition of the IHGF Delhi Fair, featuring leading Indian manufacturers and exporters, is set to go virtual from 4 – 9 November 2020 at ihgfdelhifair.in.
Organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), the apex organisation representing handicraft manufacturers and exporters in India, the IHGF Delhi Fair is held twice a year in spring and autumn.
Considering the present challenges, and driven by its pressing objective of bringing exhibitors and buyers together, the EPCH decided to take the virtual route this year. Its first virtual edition garnered an overwhelming response, with visits from approximately 4 150 overseas buyers in 108 countries.
The upcoming edition will go live from 4 to 9 November 2020, featuring 25 virtual halls and 12 product segments. Emphasis is on natural processes, responsible manufacturing and sustainable end-products.
Approximately 1 500 exhibitors will present collections across the home, lifestyle, fashion, textiles and furniture categories. A selection of more than 2 000 products and more than 300 trend-specific design developments will feature in the home, fashion and utility; collectables; gifting; and fashion accessories categories.
Products will include art metal ware; EPNS ware (silver-plated); wood carvings; furniture and accessories; glassware; jewellery and accessories; hand-printed textiles; shawls, stoles and scarves; embroidered goods; lace; toys; homeware; decorative, gifts and general handicrafts; home textiles and home accessories; candles and incense; pottery; terracotta and ceramics; nautical instruments; Christmas and floral decorations; dry flowers and potpourri; hand-made paper products; crafts made of leather; lacquer; and marble.
