Shona Wilson is an Australian artist and sculptor who creates sculptural assemblages with the use of miniature pieces of organic matter.
Her Offering collection, created in 2016, saw pieces made in the form of mandalas, using twigs, bones and seedpods that pay homage to nature, her inspiration.
Shona, who showcased her work at a solo exhibition at Australia’s Arthouse Gallery, believes that this collection serves as a group of therapeutic objects in their own right.
“They are embedded with the vibrational patterns and tones of the natural world, of the very materials they are made from, and thus they emit the frequencies of the materials within them,” explained Shona on Arthouse Gallery’s website.
