Introducing Elsje Burger, a tableware, stationery and decor maker who does spectacular things with humble materials.

Cape Town-based product designer, freelance stylist and creative consultant Elsje Burger works on a diverse range of projects, from designing kitchenware and tableware ranges, to stationery for brands and events.

In 2009, while studying industrial design at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, she established the creative consultancy Meanttobe, which works with companies and individuals to help them style and create tailormade events. 

Besides the obvious beauty of her work, what really excites us about Elsje is her passion for a wide range of creative fields and her ability to see each of her projects through. Gone are the days of sticking to one discipline for a lifetime. Designers like Elsje show that you can explore diverse passions and bring all your bright ideas to life.
