Picks of the Week

picks of the week

From trendy wine bar posters and cute hand-made baby mobiles to lockdown-inspired art and vibrant sardine wall mounts, these are the VISI team’s top picks of the week.

1. Kettal Half Dome Lamp

The shape of the Half Moon Lamp, designed by industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa for Kettal, draws inspiration from the moon. The design was intended to simulate the atmosphere of natural moonlight. Made for indoor and outdoor use, the floor lamp comes in 34 aluminium colours options.

Hope… Despite everything going on at the moment, I still have a weird feeling of hope about what's going to happen after this phase, how the world and business, etc, is going to change (for the better), what new stuff is going to come from it… This in amongst bouts of deep hopelessness too, for other reasons. Don't lose hope (said as much to myself as to you) x . 🖌️ turmeric and beetroot juice n watercolour paper . . . . . . . . . . . #FSpaintwithoutpaint #hope #getcreative #paintwithfood #naturaldyes #quarantineactivities #localzadesign #localza #lovezabuyza #womenwhodraw #womenofillustration #creativeladydirectory #fwportfolio #southafricanillustrator #experientialmarketing #liveillustration #livelettering #customisation #editorialillustration #handdrawnillustration #analogueillustration #fashionillustration #anthropologie #flowmagazine @flow_magazine @visi_mag @simplethingsmag @justbreathemagazine #thedesignersleague #tdkpeepshow #FathimasStudio #FathimasStudioIllustration

Alone Together… Whether you're literally alone at the moment and feeling togetherness from us all being under the same global situation, or with other people and feeling alone, or collectively alone with your people, we're all in the greater situation together with our own individual stresses, burdens and hopes. Also, bananas are fun! 🍌 .
