1. Confluence Park

“Architecture firm Lake Flato, design studio Matsys and landscape architect Rialto Studio are behind the design of this beautiful park in San Antonio, Texas,” says Online Editor Lindi Brownell Meiring. “The main pavilion is made up of 22 concrete ‘petals’ that are designed to funnel rainwater to a catchment system that provides the park with water.”

2. Samba adidas Campaign Shoot

“The adidas Originals Samba campaign, shot by Trevor Stuurman, features digital curator Lindiwe Ngubeni and photographer Uno Gondo,” says Content Producer Mary Garner. “The campaign celebrates the iconic shoe design, first released in the 1950s.”

3. BBVA Headquarters

“Herzog & de Meuron is behind the design of the striking headquarters of Spanish banking giant BBVA in Madrid,” says Managing Editor Samantha Charles. “Completed in 2015, it features a complex network of passages, courtyards, gardens, a pebble-like central tower and a custom undulating brise-soleil along the facade.”

4. Carved Architecture by Krupinski/Krupinska

“Stockholm-based design studio Krupinski/Krupinska showcased these detailed pieces of iconic architecture carved out of pine trees at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2018,” says Editor-in-Chief Sumien Brink. “The collection was featured as part of the plots, prints, projections exhibition.”
