1. Saint Peter House by Proyecto Cafeína + Estudio Tecalli
“This beautifully designed house, located in San Pedro Cholula in Mexico, was designed from a high-tech perspective using locally sourced red brick,” says Online Editor Lindi Brownell Meiring. “I just love the way in which the light shines through the brickwork at night.”

2. Nynke Koster’s Architectural Rubber Stools
“Dutch designer Nynke Koster creates playful rubber stools that have the appearance of lego blocks,” says Content Producer Mary Garner. “The designs are inspired by ancient architecture and are made from moulds of architectural fragments.”

3. Diego Grandi’s Closer Collection
“Diego Grandi’s single-lever mixer (that forms part of the Closer collection for Zucchetti Kos), received the 2017 Good Design Award in the Bath/Accessories category,” says Social Media Manager Ashraf Booley. “Diego focuses on harmony of form, rounder corners, ergonomic hold and easily rotatable joints, making the pieces convenient for contemporary living.”

4. 13 000 Origami Sculptures
“In Japan it’s uncustomary to tip waiters, so restaurant goers sometimes leave behind beautifully folded origami made from chopstick sleeves,” says Managing Editor Samantha Charles. “Waiter Yuki Tatsumi started collecting them and has gathered 13 000 for his project titled Japanese Tip. He has exhibited 8 000 of them in Tokyo.”
