Pedersen + Lennard: Montreal Hooks

Cape Town-based design studio Pedersen + Lennard has added a new hook style to their extensive furniture collection.

“We absolutely love designing unique and beautiful storage solutions – it’s such a useful and often underrated piece in the home,” explains Luke Pedersen about where the new hook designs originated.

The hooks can be used in kitchens, bathrooms, entrance halls and around the home as they are made from stainless steel, so there is no chance of them rusting. Each hook set is also powder coated with UV stable powder for maximum durability.

“The design for this piece is derived from the curved aesthetic of the round tube used as the main structure with small cutouts expressing the relationship between the steel and the timber components,” Luke continues. “When bringing two materials together the resulting form is always an opportunity to celebrate each material and bring some colour into the space.”

The team drew on inspiration from musical legend Leonard Cohen, relating back to Birds on a Wire, so they paid homage to his home town in the naming of the hooks.
