WORDS Lindi Brownell Meiring
Joburg-based street artist Sonny recently completed a mural in Russia’s Vladivostok as part of his To The Bone project, which sees him travelling the world creating murals that raise awareness for endangered wildlife.
This mural in particular highlights the Amur Leopard, one of the world’s most endangered cats, with only 80 left in the wild.
Completed last year, with support from the International Fund For Animal Welfare Russia and Russian NGO Far Eastern Leopards, the 250-square-metre mural is made up of more than 200 shades of colour.
Watch the above video to see how this striking mural came about.
