Nando’s is celebrating its 30th birthday and has collaborated with Smeg to run an exciting giveaway of limited-edition fridges valued at R11 000 each and coolers valued at R8 775 each.
The original designs on the iconic appliances have been created by local artist and owner of label LulasClan, Bonolo Helen Chepape. Each appliance is graphically embellished with a combination of Portuguese tiles and African linocut art.
Bonolo’s designs also symbolise the traditional Southern African craft of weaving, with many strands coming together to make one beautiful piece.
“Nando’s has long been an admirer and supporter of African art. We have over 19 000 pieces of art in our growing collection, giving us the largest collection of emerging Southern African art in the world. We encourage artists to consistently let their creativity burn bright, warming the hearts and the souls of the people experiencing it,” says Nando’s Chief Marketing Officer for Africa, Middle East and India Doug Place.
To enter all you have to do is buy any Nando’s meal with a Coca-Cola product. SMS the word BIRTHDAY, your name and the name of the Nando’s restaurant to 34145. The competition ends Competition closes 25 October 2017. (For more information visit youtube.com.)
