Cult South African homeware brand Weylandts is now stocking a select range from the iconic Dutch design label Moooi.
Moooi was founded in 2001 by Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers and named for the Dutch (and Afrikaans!) word meaning beautiful. The third “o” stands for an extra value in terms of beauty and uniqueness.
In addition to Marcel Wanders’ designs, the Moooi portfolio contains a range of work from other nationally and internationally recognised designers, including the likes of Arihiro Miyake, Bertjan Pot, Edward van Vliet and Nika Zupanc.
Weylandts, with Chris Weylandt at its helm, is synonymous with bold, confident aesthetics and timeless design, which makes it the perfect distributor for Moooi’s daring, playful and exclusive style. “Our thinking behind the collaboration is to expose South African consumers to high-end design, and to service architects and interior designers with regards to project work,” says Weylandts Director Kim Smith.
