Late Night Architecture and Design with Open Studios 2024

Cape Town’s top architecture and design studios will open their doors on October 15th and 16th for Open Studios 2024 – a free event offering exclusive behind-the-scenes tours, interactive workshops, and more.

Founded in 2013, Open Studios is one of the biggest design and architecture events in Cape Town, bringing together design lovers in a unique, city-wide event.

This October, Cape Town’s vibrant design scene will come to life with over 20 leading architecture, landscape design, and interior design studios opening their doors for two nights of exclusive tours and interactive experiences.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During Open Studios, visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most innovative design firms in Cape Town. Each participating studio will host unique activities, from virtual reality demonstrations to model-building workshops, offering a hands-on experience of the design process.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Tuesday, October 15th: Studios in the Central Business District (CBD) will open their doors, with locations stretching from De Waterkant to Kloof Street.
  • Wednesday, October 16th: Explore the creative hubs of Woodstock and Gardens, where more studios will offer insight into their cutting-edge projects.

PARTICIPATING STUDIOS

This year’s Open Studios lineup features a mix of well-known and emerging talent.

The following studios will participate and open their doors in this year’s open studios: BHC School of Design, Bomax, Craft of Architecture, Design Network, DHK, GAPP, Hours Clear, Kevin Fellingham Architects, KMH, Meyer & Associates, Mobius Interior Architects, Ohkre Collective, Open City Architects, Paragon Group, SAOTA, SEA, SourceIBA, Stewart & Partners, TwoFiveFive, Urban Concepts, Urban Think Tank Empower, Yes & Studio and VDMMA.
