WORDS Mary Garner
Talented American artist Benjamin Sack creates labyrinthian pen and ink drawings that appear to have no obvious beginning or end.
He is inspired by fractals, spiral patterns and expansive architecture, shaped into endless metropolises. Visible within the pieces are cupolas, skyscrapers, bridges and arches, all packed tightly together in a chaotic area that you could just get lost in.
Working as a resident artist aboard the MS Amsterdam, Benjamin became inspired by the cities and ports he visited.
