Garden Furniture: Studio Job for Seletti

The Industry Collection is a modern take on traditional cast-iron outdoor furniture. This beautiful collection caught our eye at design store Generation.

Belgians Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel of Studio Job designed a set of outdoor furniture for Italian brand Seletti that references those ornate iron chairs and tables we all know. But these are made of lightweight aluminium, and the patterns reveal motifs like flowers and butterflies, iconography the duo used in previous designs. The collection includes a dining chair, an armchair, a round table and a bigger oval table.

They come flat-packed in individual boxes for easy storage and transportation. The powder-coating has a matte finish and is available in four colours: red, green, black and white. The Industry Collection was showcased at 100% Design South Africa in August 2016 and has since caused quite a stir at design store Generation in Hyde Park Corner.
