Once again the FoodWineDesign Fair showcased the finest local furniture, craft, artisan products, wine labels, microbreweries, specialty food and on-site chefs.
Held on the rooftop of Hyde Park shopping centre, the outdoor market was the perfect spot to get Christmas shopping done and dusted.
Catering to a crossover of interests, excxellent food, drink, décor, and design tantalized Joburg shoppers at the weekend.
The roof was again transformed into something magical with tent structures, theatre lighting, specially designed dining and selling areas, and larger than life landscaping.
VISI’s favourite stalls belonged to first timers Marianne Fassler and Grey Goose, while the We Love Real Beer! and Darling Beer stalls also stood out.
Besides the afternoon storms spirits were high as fair goers browsed, ate and drank. We loved Abby and Ross’s collection of kids toys and paraphernalia and David Krynouw’s bedside tables made from repurposed wood.
Joburgers were also given the chance to snatch up Mingo Lamberti’s quirky scatter cushions, which have had the Mother City talking since the Design Indaba.
