five o’clock is a women-led, slow-fashion brand that creates contemporary embroidered designs.

Born of Emily Roniger’s long-standing passion for embroidery and desire to share her creations with others, five o’clock features a collection of T-shirts, purses, tote bags, face masks and DIY embroidery kits – all of which are hand-made in Cape Town, and feature a range of designs, from iconic granadilla lollies, puppies and snakes to mini Marmites.

Emily’s team is made up of four talented women from the Westlake community, each of whom embroiders at their own pace and in their own style. Emily creates commissions herself, the most popular of which are pet portraits.
