Doorskins, designed by local brand We Do Creations, is a paper-free wallpaper that can be reused and recycled.

Founded by Janine Petzer and George van der Schyff, the brand’s ethos is built on reinventing the decor space in an environmentally conscious way, through beauty and simplicity. “We Do is a commitment we as a couple made to ourselves and our future…”, they explain on their website. Doorskins, which makes use of locally produced wall material, is the brand’s first product.

The name is derived from the product’s purpose: a wallpaper for your door that can transform an ordinary feature at home into a statement decor piece. Doorskins come in various styles to complement your space, from nature-inspired prints, featuring plant and floral designs in vibrant colours; designs in both bright and neutral hues; options for kids, featuring playful illustrations; and abstract, graphic patterns.

Doorskins are designed to fit standard South African doors (813mm x 2032mm), with a slight crop to avoid snags. They retail at R699 (vinyl) and R999 (Ecotex) and can be ordered online via
