Decorex Joburg will celebrate its milestone 30th anniversary in August with an unprecedented and multifaceted four-day event aimed at highlighting new design concepts and advancements in home decor.
Decorex Joburg will present all the latest trends, curated displays, local designs and new product releases. A much-anticipated highlight of the decor and design calendar, this massive showcase taking place from 3 to 6 August 2023 will run alongside Design Joburg and 100% Design Africa, which are collocated and presented in partnership with Sanlam Private Wealth.
Spanning four levels of the Sandton Convention Centre, here are a few highlights to help you plan your visit:
Plan & Build Hall: Level -2
The Plan & Build Hall will showcase a range of architectural, building and fitting solutions such as doors, windows, blinds, shutters, roofing, security and smart home options. This hall clusters together over 40 local and international exhibitors, including brands like Oggie Flooring, Trellidor, aluminium specialists Alufem Africa, and home automation company Somfy.
The Outdoor Living section will highlight braai rooms, landscapes, patios, porches and a host of exterior brands.
Kitchens & Bathrooms Hall: Level 0
The dedicated Kitchen & Bathrooms Hall will feature over 60 brands showcasing the latest in appliances, cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom design, bathroom fixtures and more for the most hardworking areas of the home.
Local chefs will fire up the Samsung Bespoke Cooking Theatre with demos of their signature dishes using the latest Samsung appliances.
Decor Hall & Furniture Hall: Level 5
From curtains, wallpaper and couches to interior decorators, artists and ceramicists, over 70 brands will showcase their diverse offerings in the Decor & Furniture Hall.
Interior design studios Distinguished Living, Signature Room and Portfolio Home and bespoke furniture designers Timeless Opulence will each present Roomsets that showcase their interior design offerings and creative prowess.
Head to the Plascon x Superbalist showcase which will feature styled settings, each dressed in colours from the much-loved local paint brand. This collaboration will provide attendees with an interactive retail experience in which they can create their own decor looks from an array of shoppable items.
Mr Price Home’s Shoppable Apartment makes it easy for you to decorate your own home without delay — if you find something you love, order it for click and collect, or have it delivered directly to your doorstep.
Following a collaboration with furniture designers Haldane Martin and MŪVEK at the recent Decorex Cape Town (22-25 June 2023), Spanish surfacing brand Cosentino will be at Decorex Joburg with another display of exceptional furniture design.
The trade-focused Joburg Decor & Design Week takes place across the city from 31 July 2023. The city-wide programme of events culminates in 100% Design Africa, Design Joburg and Decorex Joburg from 3 to 6 August 2023 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
