The Burj Residence, designed by award-winning boutique Dubai-based firm VSHD Design, is located in one of Dubai’s most sought-after neighbourhoods.
The client sought maximum seclusion, optimal use of natural light and opulent interiors that challenge the definition of grand. The result is a 1 600-square-metre L-shaped house that faces toward the inside of the plot, featuring an expansive courtyard where the family can enjoy their manicured garden and swimming pool. Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors welcome an abundance of natural light into the home, while a timber overhang affords uninterrupted privacy from the street beyond.
The minimalist interiors intend to mirror those of museums and galleries, dotted with artwork and functional design pieces. The internal L outline of the space comprises a transparent series of large sliding glass doors, providing a seamless boundary that sees views of the courtyard function as the visual thread throughout the home.
