The apartment features a rich history and according to archaeologists is said to have once formed part of the quarry cave complex that was excavated for limestone – it probably dates back to the Roman era when Córdoba was known as Colonia Patricia. The stunning architectural feat is carved into the sloping strata of the calcarenite limestone and its textured feel and sandy tones are celebrated throughout, while simultaneously being tastefully juxtaposed by the wooden and white hues of bespoke furniture.

Albeit in a cave, the apartment has a spacious and light-filled interior with an uninterrupted dialogue between old and new; the result is a contemporary cave come luxurious lair with all the finishing touches. The layout boasts fluidity and privacy and seeks proximity to its grand stoney surrounds rather than direct contact. The peaceful abode features airy glass openings to the picturesque gardens outside, solar power, marble and granite flooring and varied stone detailing that further celebrates the tectonic nature of the area.

The apartment is available for holiday rentals. Find out more here.
