Africa Inspired Babygros

These 100% cotton babygros are inspired by and made in Africa.

Having a baby herself gave the talented Lyndall McCarthy the idea of producing a range of screenprinted babygros under the brand Africa Inspired. She started to draw illustrations of animals from photos taken on her honeymoon in the Kruger National Park, and worked with another designer to create a pattern for a single-seam babygro so she could wrap the screenprinted illustration from front to back on the one side.

The current range features illustrations of a hippopotamus, an African porcupine, a buffalo weaver, a pangolin, an octopus and a humpback whale.

Lyndall plans to expand the range to include illustrations of other African wildlife, such as the big five and the small five.

Each babygro comes with a certificate of authenticity, in a calico bag. It is available in three sizes (0–3 months, 3–6 months and 6–12 months) and various colour combinations.
