These local handmade sunglasses, or “eyewood” as Ballo likes to call them, are focused on recycling and sustainability.
Each frame is made from a unique blend of recycled paper and timber offcuts, which is then laminated using bio resin. The frames are decorated with a variety of fabrics or wood and the lenses are polarised for optimal eye protection. Each pair of Ballo sunglasses can also be fitted with prescription lenses.
Ballo eyewear comes in a wooden tube. Each pair has a one-year guarantee.
Ballo is situated at 35 Frere Street, Woodstock, Cape Town. For more information, visit ballo.co.za.
