A chance to be recognised, by the world

Entries for the World Architecture Festival (WAF) and the Inside festival of interiors close on 1 July. If you’re an architect or work in interiors, here’s a chance to share your work with the world.

WAF is now in its fourth year, while Inside is being held for the first time. Both of these exciting events and awards will be held in Barcelona from 2-4 November 2011.

This year, entries (as well as visitor passes) are on a “buy one get one free” basis. So, if you enter one of the competitions, you have the opportunity to be entered into the other, doubling your opportunity to be shortlisted for, and possibly win, a globally respected award.

If you work across the fields of interiors and architecture, you can use this offer to enter a project, or multiple projects, into both competitions. Or, if your project is suitable, use your free entry to enter it in more than one category.

All WAF entries will be exhibited in the festival awards gallery, which is viewed by hundreds of international architects, clients and critics, allowing your work to be showcased to an international market.

Architects with incomplete buildings also have the opportunity to compete in one of WAF’s ten future projects categories.

Likewise, the Inside festival is an opportunity for interiors professionals to raise their profile, impress clients and secure work by entering to win one of 12 Inside awards, including the ultimate accolade of World Interior of the Year.

But it’s not only potential entrants who should be getting excited about these events. WAF and Inside are world-class festivals that celebrate excellence in architecture and interiors, so members of the public can expect inspiring events, galleries, talks, seminars and more, which all come together at the prestigious awards ceremonies.

A double dose of design and architecture in the bustling and beautiful city of Barcelona sounds like a dream come true for VISI readers. Let us know if you are attending the festivals, or entering your work.
