German designer Meike Harde has embedded delicate foliage and blossoms into a range of transparent glass platters.

As an alternative to painting or printing onto tableware, these beautiful flowers are actually frozen within the crockery. “By the durable embedding of blossoms in glass, the fragility of nature in this moment is conserved,” explains Meike on her website.

These whimsical platters create a sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of flower pressing and the collecting of dried flowers.

“By referencing traditional floral ornamentation, the glass plates blend into the canvas of a laid table,” she adds.

Each piece within Harde’s collection is unique and is available in a variety of sizes.
